• one bite you may get the bitter taste of chocolate

    another one, the sweet strawberry

next bite, you feel the smoothness of vanilla

    followed by the tangy durian

finalized by tender taste of avocado

like what we experience in life, we’ll get one bite of every sweet and bitterness. it's the flavour of life...

Have you ever worked with someone so full of himself, he wouldn't take any suggestion from you?
Well, I have. In fact, I am currently working with him as a team. He never share anything he knew, even made decision without telling me.
Not trying to be femme here, but darn, it's a team of two. When one of the members decides to think and acts by himself, it's a big problem. That's not what a team means, is it?
Let's see, if this continues, I really need to talk to him personally before this go on our way and becomes a big problem later.

纸 (zhǐ) - Piece of Paper

I always consider myself as "paper-like" person, means you can easily see my emotions just by looking at me. And my friends know that.
So it's a disadvantage for me when I have to face client on location and has to make a conversation, especially when the clients talks about something boring, something I really hate to talk about, or worse, something which makes me speechless, don't know how to response. And the worst part of it, many of the clients are like that.
I mean they always ramble about safety (which I know is important, but hey! 2 hours talking about safety without stopping cannot make your work even more safe). Or talk about how they would enjoy work for my company instead (duh, please). Or just completely silent. Darn XD
"Err Pak, silahkan lho dimakan dan diminum hidangannya"
"Wah, saya baru makan... Nanti aja"
"Udah lama pak kerja di ****?"
"Oh sudah, sudah, saya sudah bekerja 25 tahun."
"Ooo *manggut-manggut*"
"Asli mana pak?" [pertanyaan standar yang pasti keluar kalo udah bingung mo ngomong apa]
"Asli Sumbar dek."
"Ooo, kemarin gempa kena ngga?"
"Engga..."
And continue like that until finally...
"Err, Pak, saya permisi dulu ya, saya mau belajar caranya ngelog yang sigma ini [ngemeng tentang hal yang pasti dia nggak ngerti] jadi lain kali saya bisa ngelog sendiri, hehe."
Phewww.
But I left my friend continued to chat with him, for more than 2 hours straight. Oh man, how I admire him (by him, I mean my friend) for his enthusiasm. I mean, it's just so hard keeping your interest-look while u're actually hoping for the conversation to end. *clap clap*
I know that we should "entertain" the client, but still. Or should I start to think like my friend, that in this business we are also paid for our "lip service"?

Girl in Coverall

Just reached home from land job, phew, gotta rest for a while and then later will move to the next location for the same job.
Few days ago, one of my old friends joined the company and got transferred to the base where I'm working right now. Kinda surprising though because one, she's a girl, and not only a girl, when I say girl it means girly girl,
1. kinda like go to salon to dye hair,
2. and wear beautiful dresses,
3. and super hygiene,
4. and even wears make ups that you won't even imagine is present
5. and even before she came, she asked me whether we will get our skin burned. Duh... I'm speechless.
Lol, if you dont even have any pictures of what you will get when you work in oil and gas service company while expecting such thing, let me tell you, that won't be happen, not once in the blue moon :p
Your skin will get dark, make up probably can help a little, and then you often don't have decent bath in days, and eat with your bare hand after doing something dirty (well, I always bring a spoon everytime I go to a job because of that), and talking about dresses, coverall is all that you can get, and it's dirty with grease, oil (nice!), or something else.
Moreover, about working time, there's no flexibility, you work for 24/7, be a call-girl (or boy, in my case) whose ready to be called anytime anywhere.
So, are you ready, girls?

Anyway, one of the advantages, some guys think that girls wear coverall are sexy, hmm, not me though.

And not even one day pass after she came, she already thinks to quit, lol >.<

First Days-Off After School

Yeah, I got 10 days free! But after that I still dunno where my next assignment will be at. You know, working in this business means you have to be ready to be called anywhere, anytime and can be placed literally anywhere, either at Himalayan mountain top, or even in an exiled island in the middle of Pacific ocean. Okay, maybe I lift the story a lil’ bit, but I guess you get what I mean, heh heh..
Yesterday I just came back from Bandung, the town where I pursued my bachelor degree. Went there only for one night to settle some matters in college, and also to meet few of my old buddies. Feels really nice to come back to college, you know, chitty chatty with the professors, as if you are just like old friends or just strolling around where you spent bad times with study-before-exams thingie, and also being scolded during pre-research meetings.
But I guess, it will be even nicer if my notty pum comes with me, heh heh. Sorry deary, will take you there next time, kay?
And that’s already 3 days since my vacation starts. 7 more days left >.<
Ah how time passes faster when you don’t want it to be..

steve's art moo business card set 1 (5)

Hey, it's been awhile since I closed my last blog, but I guess I'm ready to start writing again, heh heh. I will put more determination in it.

Made this blog to keep my mind active and ya, to escape from my daily work routines. Won't talk to much this time, am getting ready for my flight back home (finally!) after the 3 months rigorous (well, I exaggerate a bit though, haha) training oversea.
So yeah, I hope you like my ramblings, thanks for visiting :)
